April is National Garden Month

Celebrate your garden and your green thumb. Here are some ways to do it:

•If you haven’t already, plan and plant a garden
•Visit a green house, nursery or Botanic Garden
•Learn about the different parts of a plant
•Volunteer to help in a community garden project

There are plenty of other things you can do to celebrate. Check out www.nationalgardenmonth.org for their 101 Ways to Celebrate National Garden Month.

If you have small children you can do some great garden crafts: seed mosaics, pipe cleaner flowers, paintings, playdough vegetables, and planting a seed.  They can also help you with your weeding, and watering.  There are also plenty of childrens garden books you can find to read at the library.

Then check out Pinterest for some cool garden ideas and get working on them.

Happy Gardening!
