The Basil growing season is running out. I’ve been trying to prolong it (bringing it in at night when the temperature drops to the 40s, feeding it regularly, etc.) but we’re using it faster than it wants to grow. I guess the lack of warmth, difference in the sunshine (it gets more shade in my yard now) is stunting its growth. I don’t know if this is really happening but those are my observations. I do hope I can keep it growing. We’re out of pesto and I just made another 1/2 pint of it today which left 6 scrawny looking plants. Hope they continue to grow a little longer.
