Stink Bugs 1 – Squash 0

I have several squash plants. My garden is small so I’m raising some plants in containers. I have one of each in my raised-bed garden and the extras in containers. My tromboncino squash is flowering like crazy and the one in a container garden finally produced a fruit which died from something that caused it to turn brown. Then the leaves started dying so I carefully moved it to the raised bed. It died the next day.

Meanwhile the one I originally planted in the raised bed, flowering like crazy, still has not produced a fruit but now looks like it, too, is dying. I found some baby stink bugs on it’s leaves.

Once again, we’ll be buying squash this summer.
