Cucumbers

I planted 3 cucumber plants today in my garden. They are the bushy kind which are said to be better for small gardens. The other type runs, so I’d need to trellis a section for it to grow.
I put one in the garden bed and one each in a pot next to the garden. I’m running out of room in my 48″ diameter garden so I have several pots surrounding it for those things that need their own contained space (mint, garlic chives which seem to take over anything in their way) or multiple plants, like my cucumbers and peppers, that might need more space to fill out and cage or stake.
I’m new at this so we’ll see how it goes. The Master Gardener workshop on vegetable gardening a few weeks ago mentioned growing cucumbers in separate pots with a cage around it or a stake to climb on.
